Intro to Defensive Pistol or Rifle
Courses consist of 10% classroom time to help introduce concepts and provide an overview of training, and 90% practical application. Introduction to Defensive Pistol/Rifle focuses on familiarizing students with the mechanics and handling of a firearm, ensuring you can confidently manipulate your firearm in a variety of situations.

Intermediate Defensive Pistol or Rifle
Students are required to complete the HQ Precision Introduction to Defensive Pistol or Rifle course(s) or have a certificate of completion of an introductory defensive course or other equivalent resume to participate in the Intermediate course. Courses consist of 5 to 8% classroom time to help introduce concepts and provide an overview of training. The remainder of the course is hands on application combining marksmanship and response speed. Students are required to pass a skills test to pursue advanced courses.


Advanced Pistol or Rifle
Students must pass the skills test offered in the Intermediate Level course to enter the Advanced Defensive Pistol/Rifle course(s). Significant tactical movement, proficient malfunction clearance, multiple targets with transitions, and response speed are emphasized. This course has minimal classroom time so that practical application can be maximized.
